In the earlier times, people treated gays harshly - they were abandoned by their families, pushed away by friends and the neighborhood, bullied in school and at work and persecuted every time they appear. It is important that we respect them, just like anybody else, no barriers, because they are also human beings out to make a life meaningful here on this planet. But then again in 1979, the pride flag was modified since the center stripe appeared vague whenever it is hung vertically. Baker, who made the original pride flag, also dropped the hot pink color since it was very difficult to find such material. With the increase in demand, Paramount Flag Company had difficulty supplying that’s why it ought to sell a new version of the pride flag with seven stripes of red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue and violet. With the appearance of the first pride flag in the parade, people then associated it with the LGBT’s yet it was not until Novemthat a great demand for the flag occurred due to the assassination of a recognized gay official, San Francisco City Supervisor Harvey Milk.

It originally consisted of eight striped colors that have specific meanings aside hot pink for sexuality, red for life, orange is for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, turquoise is for magic, blue for serenity and violet for spirit.
